I’ve shared with you my game that successfully changed my false, negative thoughts about myself to positive thoughts.(See https://alwaysthefight.com/2022/05/09/play-a-simple-10-second-game-to-boost-yourself/ )
My therapist suggested I could use the same tactic to change my general negative thinking, too. Last night I thought, “stupid idea,” then changed it to “seed idea” and found myself brainstorming instead of dismissing the initial plan altogether.
It is easy to do, however it gets even easier with practice. Notice negative assumptions and judgments. Change the words to something more hopeful. Eventually, you will feel better about the world and circumstances around you.
“But I’m a realist”, you may say. Realism has two sides: the negative outcomes and the positive ones. One can be a realist and see the upswing point of view. Otherwise, the “realist” is merely a pessimist in denial.
We get to choose what type of person we want to be. We can also decide whether to take the steps necessary to becoming that person. The above is a simple tactic that works when a person wants to feel better.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
