God knows where you are, sees your heart, and loves you deeply. He is aware of all your strengths and frailties, and graciously longs to prove his undying love for you.1
What you perceive as negative in yourself, he sees hope and healing. When you feel there is no reason to keep trying, he sees his plan for your life and does not give up on you.2
The God of the Bible is a person, a Father, and his love never fails. He is patient, kind, gentle, rejoices when justice prevails and the truth wins out, does not keep a record of wrongs, and never violates your person or freedom to choose. 3
God the Almighty is not jealous of you, but is jealous for you. He wants you to love him with all your heart, mind, and being because he is always good and wants to spare you the scars and pain of following other gods. He will fight for you, warn you, and gladly meet you wherever you are, regardless of what you have done or how you think of your worthiness.4
The Most High God is not boastful in the human braggart way, but he will tell you who he is. He does not demand his own way like selfish people do, but will teach you right from wrong. His love endures through every circumstance. His delight, joy, and fun is proving his unending love for you. 5
The Father God’s love is never a violation. You are cherished and beloved. He made you, and will carry you, lead you, and teach you the best pathway for your life. He is safe to tell him of your anxiety, depression, mixed moods, hallucinations, delusions, lostness, hopelessness, and inner darkness. He embraces your need for him and meets you with his offer of peace. 6
Sincere faith pleases him. He has said that if you believe Jesus came from heaven and lived a human life, died to pay for all your sins, and resurrected on the third day, you will be saved for eternity. It is all about faith and God’s grace; you cannot earn his love. His nature is love and goodness. As you study the Bible, you will see a continuity in his mercy that is yours, too, new each morning.7
So, what have you been through? God is not shocked by other people’s sins perpetrated on or toward you. He is hurt by sin and knows the capacity for evil in humans. He offers people who have been hurt a hand up, a way to live with purpose and joy. To sinners, which all of us are, he offers a new beginning.8
What have you been through? He has seen every one of your moments, days, and thoughts, and has heard your every word. Yet here he is again, offering through this blog, the opportunity to turn to Jesus, his Son, and bask in the eternal love of the perfect Father. 9
