Faith Wins! It’s God’s Fight part 4

Always the Fight Ministries: Displaying compassion for those fighting mental illness, addiction, or abuse. (c)2019 Nancy Virden

Daily the human race fights in small and big ways for fulfillment, happiness, liberty, and justice.  Some fights are more basic such as for food, water, and shelter. In this “It’s God’s Fight” series, I am hoping you see that God fights our battles for us when we follow his process.

In “Joy Wins” you read about an undying joy that can also be yours despite hardships. “Love Wins” reveals a love that will not fade no matter what emotional blockages we may experience.  “Hope Wins” describes hope in terms perhaps you’ve not thought about before.

Faith wins, too

Not only has God filled me with joy, love, and hope, but he is teaching me how to pray in faith and completely trust him:

Directly due to taking the following quote to heart, my incurable and debilitating anemia has been miraculously healed as of this spring. I am grateful for the fight that led to a new testimony.

You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. – Jesus in John 15:16

Back when I could barely leave the house over a 2-year period, isolation was wiped out when I invited people to come to me. From catsitting to hosting classes and several more events, I am grateful for this battle that taught me to reach out and trust people on a new level.

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another…  Hebrews 10:25

Jesus met every financial challenge by stirring individuals to give me money at the right time (without knowing of the concern), and by helping me to downsize my needs. Debt has dropped by half in 2 years. My gratitude for financial testings is because they are resulting in a sense of financial freedom due to a strengthened trust in God’s provision.

You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money. That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life… – Jesus in Matthew 6:24b-25

I am cancer-free. This battle was an easily resolved one, especially compared to those who suffer long treatments. I am thankful for God’s protection against what could have been far worse.

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!  Psalm 121:2

God even used those bed bugs (yuck!) to help me purge my home of “shrines” to an “idol” which resulted in God’s forgiveness, a restored sense of direction, and a fresh new start again in the ministry I thought was gone. I am grateful for the bed bugs.

“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. Matthew 6:24a

One son is now pursuing his faith. Both sons are working full-time. When circumstances are not in my wheelhouse, Jesus still fights battles for my loved ones.

let our children see your glory.  Psalm 90:16

Faith Wins!

Faith is believing, knowing, that what God’s Word says is true. No one loves like the Heavenly Father does. He has restored my soul and is building on my mustard seed of faith.

Today’s Helpful Word

Luke 17:5-6

The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”  The Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you!
