Dear God,

Firstly, let me acknowledge that You have my answers. You promised that anyone who seeks You diligently will find You. I know Your will and thoughts are higher than mine.

My pain and concerns are open sores. If one more stressor comes my way I am not sure I can hold myself together. Sometimes it seems escape is the best option: a vacation, quitting my job, walking out on my marriage, leaving the church, or perhaps ending it all.

If I am to ride out this anguish, I need your help. Please show me what to do. Help me to trust Your wisdom and not to settle for anything less. Please protect me from myself. Please free me from the chains that seem to have me trapped in a no-win situation.

Sometimes I cannot move. Loneliness envelops me. I need Your strength because mine is almost gone.

Thank you for Your mercy.

Thank You for Your love.

Thank You that You are with me. Help me listen to You and do what is right.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
