I took off much of May to regroup. It still amazes me how many moms and grandmothers respond to my old post Your Adult Child with Mental Illness is Homeless. Now What?
I am finally in a place where I am equipped and ready to offer a support group to such parents. This particular issue has only grown, and more help is needed.
I have contacted each person who commented on that post from 2016 until now, to ask if they are interested in an online support group. When I receive their answers, whether two or more, this group will begin.
In the original post, I pointed to prayer and trust in God as one road to peace of mind. This is a Christian advocacy ministry and the support group will reflect that. The group will consist of parents encouraging each other and we will pray for the adult children and specific situations.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this type of support, let me know via comments on this post or through NancyVirden.hope@gmail.com (Write Always the Fight or ATF in the subject line.)
