In the Bible, God promises to be found by anyone sincerely willing to seek him. Some people are only interested in proving he does not exist. They will not find him.
There are a few, like Lee Strobel, whose minds change once faced with evidence. Strobel, a Chicago Tribune investigative reporter, set out to disprove the deity of Jesus Christ. In his book, The Case for Christ (made into a movie), he admits he ran out of arguments. That is when he began to seek God.
I seek God when my arguments fail to hold up, too. A persistent self-sufficient attitude eventually leads me to dead ends. There I pray, asking God for wisdom. He gladly offers it! My part of the bargain is to stop doubting and follow his plan. My goal is to always seek him first and not wait until I’ve made a mess!
God does not have an address or phone number, so how does one seek him? Firstly, start talking to him. Ask him to help you know him. Secondly, read what he has to say. If the Bible is the words of God (and I know it is), what better way to discover God? For newcomers to the Bible, I recommend beginning with the Book of Mark.
Thirdly, find a church that upholds the Bible as the inerrant word of God, and emphasizes salvation through Christ alone. Many churches and church leaders hold differing points of view, but on this point we must agree: That God sent his only birth-son Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and that Jesus rose to life three days after his burial, bringing us eternal life if we believe.
Jesus is returning soon. Then it will be too late. Seeking him while he may be found is wise. He is not hiding!
Father God, Thank you for caring about me and wanting me to seek you. I pray you will lead me down the path of truth. Please protect me from lies that will cause me to miss you. I believe- please help my unbelief! Amen

Hebrews 11: 1,6
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for… And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hello again.
I thought I would look some more at what you are doing. It is many years ago now when I was faced with considering who Jesus is. Eventually at boarding school at about 15 years old I came to the conclusion that he was who who He said He was.
Now of course I say He is who He is, or as He would say ‘I am who I am’, the ‘I am’ of God.
As regards wisdom I hope you won’t mind if I attach this link on a post I did. As Jesus is the Word of God I find it fascinating what is contained in the little word ‘wisdom’.
