Miracles are not always the parting of seas and voices from the sky. Most miracles are daily and simple. They can easily be written off as coincidence or luck. But for those of us who do not believe in coincidence or some cosmic energy that might be occasionally on our side, it is clear that what has happened to me in recent months are God-given miracles in answer to prayer.
I’ve been struggling with Covid fatigue for about 2 months. Rarely able to leave the house, most days until recently have been spent in bed or in a chair. Friends have volunteered to help out of sheer love and care for me. I’m watching my home get packed while sitting on the couch! I can sort drawers and such but they packed books, emptied my kitchen, helped in the office, replaced bulbs, and more. They are making trips to thrift stores to drop off donations, taking trash to their own cans because I have more than Cleveland will pick up, and they’ve run errands too. It is a beautiful and timely miracle.
Finding a place to move to was a matter of finances and prayer. I told God there was one place I’d like to board but it had to be her idea. The next day she called to say she was praying about it and would I come to live with her? Yippee! Her home is equipped with disability and mobility aids which I will sometimes use when chronic anemia acts up. I did not know this until after we agreed I would come there! Her back windows overlook the woods of a park. It is maybe 25 feet outside to the edge of it. God knows this country girl needs nature in the city. First, he provided a home inside the city of Cleveland with a rare woodsy and private backyard. Now he takes me to a piece of heaven. This is the miracle of God knowing and caring about my needs.
My desire is to help people in need in practical ways. This is the main reason I am a purger of stuff- at least I can donate items. My soon-to-be roommate regularly goes out of her way to meet people’s emergency needs (she gave me a wheelchair a few years back). She keeps an extra room (besides mine) for this purpose, and collects items of necessity like toiletries and food for people in transition. Opportunities to be of service will be under my nose! This is a miracle from God who knows our thoughts and is eager to help us grow. I look forward to God’s schooling and blessings.
These are miracles from the God of Love who treasures this daughter and carries me on the best path.

2 Corinthians 3: 16-18
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken [from their spiritual eyes]. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
