Oh, my dear people, do not be afraid. I see the pandemic and know exactly how it works. I am greater than any disease. I see the fires and floods and am not overcome by them. Rioting, violence, and even peaceful protests are within my scope of understanding.
You see, I look down from heaven and see the whole human race. From my throne I observe all who live on the earth. I made all human hearts so I understand everything they do.1
You ask, Why, oh God, if you are real, why don’t you do something?
But I have done something. I have given you everything you need. Lift your eyes from disasters and threats and see me instead.2
I promised that if you will make me your home by believing I exist, and live in the shelter I provide by obeying my commands, you will rest in my shadow.3 My commands are this: to believe in the name of my Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as yourself.4 If you are sincere of heart and genuinely wanting to listen, then you can ask and I will answer, knock and the door will open, seek and you will find the answers you need.5
There is no situation beyond my control. You may be tempted to look for safety in things other than me, but I am the only real refuge you will ever find.
Dear ones, if you will come to me like chicks to a mother-hen and allow me to cover you,6 you will not fear. I will rescue you from the fowler, the bait-setter and plotter. Dread, and the object of your dread will have no power over your mind greater than my peace. Even if it feels like arrows are shooting at you from all directions, you can know I have overcome the troubles of this world.7 No pandemic or disease is greater than me! No disaster or violence can overthrow your security.
The best-equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.8 Don’t count on your war machine to give you victory— for all its strength, it cannot save you.
But I, God Almighty, watch over those who acknowledge my ultimate authority in all matters; all those who rely on my unfailing love.
I am your help and shield. In me your hearts will rejoice when you trust in my holy name. My unfailing love will surround you when your hope is in me alone.
