Hello, World!
My last blog offers 13 fun ways to have fun with your friends if you are stuck at home during this coronavirus issue. Go here to check it out.
I understand that social distancing is difficult, perhaps especially for those already in a struggle with depression, anxiety, or other types of mental disorder. If that is you, or someone you know, please do what you are able to connect with other people. Even if all you can do is tune in to an online prayer group or friendly gathering and listen, please do it.
You are still valuable and worthy of care! If you have suicidal thoughts, please call your doctor or local crisis line. If those thoughts are evolving into a plan with intent, go to your emergency room now.
Today I’m passing on some resources that can help each of us through this time of potential isolation.
Prayer Groups
I am hosting two public prayer groups. Each is call-in for audio-only or sign-in for video. Call 605-313-5981 and use access code 286081. For video, go to https://join.freeconferencecall.com/nancyvirdenhope
Sundays 6-7 pm: One hour of prayer, mostly for the spiritual and crisis concerns of the world and America. Personal prayers for your needs will be addressed at approximately 6:45-7:00.
Tuesdays 6:30- 7:45: A strong focus on prayer for our nations, cities, neighborhoods, and families, including schools, healthcare workers, government leaders, etc. Worship music combined with prayers. Any personal needs you would like prayer for are welcome at 7:45-8:00.
Social Settings
Type in your favorite topic in the browser followed by “forum.” Lots of people are out there talking about all kinds of things! Choose a positive group and a positive topic.
Use Social media with caution. It is loaded with negativity and false information that can worsen your mental and emotional wellbeing. Stay close to positive friends.
Book Clubs
Reading more? Or want to? This site offers choices and opportunities to discuss your favorite reads.
Games!
Multi-player games can be fun, especially with friends. This site offers various free choices.

Church Services/Bible Studies
Your church may have online services. For other church services, check these out. These are recorded. The Bible study (below) is one place where you can talk with others and participate.
This video/call-in Bible study meets the needs and questions of beginners, curious, and rusty Bible learners. It is participatory, which is rather rare in online Bible Studies. Hosted by me, this look into the New Testament allows for Q and A.
Beginners and curious: Thursdays 1pm-2pm, beginning March 26. Call 605-313-5981 and use access code 286081. For video, go to https://join.freeconferencecall.com/nancyvirdenhope

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.

Always the Fight Ministries (ATFM) has been displaying compassion for those fighting mental illness, addiction, or abuse since 2012. Nancy is the founder and voice of ATFM and openly shares her emotional resurrection from despair.
