I’ve heard stigma of all kinds. I’ve been called uneducated (summa cum laude bachelor’s), and ignorant (55 years of personal Bible reading, study, and teaching), simply because I am a Christian; and unthinking because I question political views and come to my own conclusions (the opposite of unthinking). Assumptions and unfounded rumors skew facts.
Charlie Kirk promoted what was important to him. He was a firm believer in well-researched evidence compared to the youthful, inexperienced minds who tried to debate him. They often resorted to anger or name-calling, emotionally exposing their lack of information. Charlie was committed to setting an example of critical thinking, whether you finally agreed with him or not.
He never tried to force anyone, physically or manipulatively, to accept his political or faith beliefs. He was personally and politically conservative, which in some paranoid people’s minds made him dangerous.
Then again, he was Christian, which, as a faith, has been wrongfully dubbed a source of hate and prejudice. Never mind that the vast majority of charities are founded by Christians. Never mind that a majority of global services are run by Christians. If those who hate Israel are interested, Christians are delivering food in Gaza.
True followers of Christ believe his words in the Bible are authoritative and will not be interested in supporting the works of what the Bible says is sin. However, generally, true Christians will love and help anyone who is in need. We do not hate as a consensus. Christians ended slavery, and Christians stand for justice. As in any faith, some eggheads behave badly and call themselves Christians who actually are not.
Charlie was not a hater. His goal was to educate, enlighten, and offer the hope he had found because he loved young people. The only hater in this story is the freak who killed him and anyone who was behind the shooting. Those who celebrate his death are afraid of anything and anyone who does not support their ideas, delusional or not. Hate based on assumptions, false accusations, and paranoia killed Charlie.
I know he is in heaven because He had surrendered his life to Jesus. Pray in Jesus’ name for his family.

1 Corinthians 13:12-13
Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
