Mentally healthy people do not hate or deny the experiences of intelligent and informed others who try to point out their realities. I say this because hate is an aberrant way of thinking. It is beyond dislike to actually wishing another person harm. Ignorance can lead to hate. I’ve seen too much in Cleveland, Ohio, to be naive. Hatred exists between races.
White people have some privilege in the U.S.A. There is no informed debate about that because it is obvious. Only one example is how I am rather instantly trusted, whereas I observe black and brown people sometimes being treated suspiciously.
If you look, you will see it too. Maybe you do not think people who are not “white” struggle against discrimination to find jobs, get an education, or move to nice neighborhoods. Perhaps you live in a neighborhood where people of color mostly live far from you, so it is easy to believe the generalizations.
Do not forget our great privilege of getting to know people who are different and offering the benefit of the doubt. I choose to believe all the people of color I have met over anyone who gains something by speaking ignorant or hateful words. We have much to learn from each other’s experiences.
Heaven will be FULL of people with different skin shades, from both sides of the tracks, from all nations and tribes, from welfare recipients to Wall Street traders, from hospital janitors to CEOS, from farmers to babysitters, from big cities and small villages all across the world. If you think America is a melting pot, wait until you see heaven!
If you carry disdain due to someone’s skin color, it is your job to be rid of it. Do not cover it with denial (“I don’t hate them, I just do not want them around me.”) Hatred had better be gone, or you may not even be recognized by Jesus or make it into God’s eternal home. If we are to be like him, we must show no favoritism.
Jesus gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace-loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
