Going to church doesn’t mean much if you are not filled with God internally. Many go to church thinking they are right with God because of it but do not know Him or His ways. I am not talking about knowledge and facts about Him, but knowing Him personally.
Just because you know someone’s autobiography doesn’t make you their friend. You can’t introduce someone to others that you have no relationship with.
Those who KNOW the Lord, have a sense of Fear of the Lord too. Part of knowing God is asking him to search inside of you and convict you of where you have been so comfortable with sin that you’ve become numb to it and to reignite your heart for purity and true holiness.
Holiness isn’t just abstaining from s*x or p*rn.
It’s also not lying when the truth doesn’t serve you, taking radical accountability and responsibility for yourself, not having secrets, telling on yourself when you do sin instead of waiting to get caught, being KIND when people are unkind to you, showing compassion when it’s hard, and considering others’ wellbeing when making choices, uplifting others above yourself, being patient, not exploding with rage and the list goes on.
