If you do not believe in an all-mighty God, not invented by humans and unshaped by religion, than this may be a challenge for you. However, if you believe God is who he says he is in the Holy Bible, let us share excitement with the following news.
God created out of nothing everything that is natural. Did he create the Eiffel Tower? No. He did however, create the substances needed for this work. Did he make the design? I doubt if it was so-inspired, however, he did make the architect.
With this in mind, consider some of the videos coming back from NASA. Our ancestors had no idea of the miracles we witness. Today I saw video of light as it passed through space. No one has been able to capture this until recently. Technology has advanced to the point we can actually see light as it moves. Wow!
This amazing feat teaches us about God. In the creation account as recorded in the book of Genesis, God made light shine on the earth before he made the stars, moon, or sun. Where did that light originate? God made everything else out of nothing, so why not light? Perhaps it did not have a measurable source.
“What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside? Can you take them to their places?
Job 38:19-20
I have heard that it was God, that he was the light. I struggle with this idea because why would God who is light have to create it? He said, “Let there be light. And there was light.” Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” Is this when God created Jesus? No, He is God’s eternal Son.
Through [Jesus] all things were made. Without him nothing was made that has been made.
John 1:3
What if God, in his wisdom, created what makes light work on that day? Not limited to stars or reflection, it only existed. Everything else that limits light came later.
God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:4
If this God can create light out of nothing, do you believe he can create light in your soul? If you are suffering in the darkness of depression and suicidal thoughts, remember this: He made you on purpose. You are alive for a vital reason, one only you can finish. After all, Jesus died and resurrected for your sake. Cling to his hope.

2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
